    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the provisions of the Code of the Town of Avon, and pursuant to Town Law §130 and §264, that a public hearing shall be held by the Town Board of the Town of Avon at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Avon Town Hall, located at 23 Genesee Street, Avon, New York for the purpose of considering public opinion and comment about or concerning a proposed local law relating to the following:

    A proposed local law to modify the boundaries of a certain zoning district currently known as Agricultural (A) within the Town, changing such certain specified area to a zoning classification of General Business District (B1), thereby also changing the boundaries of the General Business District (B1) within the Town. The area that is proposed to change its zoning classification is a parcel known as _____ South Lima Road, Town of Avon, County of Livingston and State of New York, also being known as Tax Identifier Map Parcel No. 55.-1-62,said area being 1.27 acres in area.

    A copy of the proposed local law will be available for review by the public at the office of the Town Clerk during regular Town Clerk hours and will also be available on the Town’s website at https://www.avon-ny.org/town-of-avon/town-home.html.

    TAX COLLECTOR'S NOTICE

    Please take notice that I, Diana Farrell, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of Avon, County of Livingston, State of New York, will duly receive the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Avon for the year2024 in the amount of $6,187,523.81.

    For in person payments, please visit the Avon Town Clerk’s Office, located at 23 Genesee St. Avon, NY 14414 beginning December 31, 2023 or place payments in our drop box. Mail payments to: Town of Avon Tax Collector, 23 Genesee Street, Avon, New York 14414. Taxpayers may also view, print, and/or pay their bill via the Town’s web site at www.avon-ny.org

    Take further notice that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2024, without charge or interest. On all taxes received after such date, there shall be added interest of 1% until February 29, 2024 and 2% for March 1, 2024 to March 31,2024.

    Pursuant to Section 987 of the Real Property Tax Law, a delinquent notice will be mailed on or after the 31st day following the expiration of the period on interest-free payment of taxes (March 4, 2024). The law mandates that the expenses of the mailing such notice shall be an additional penalty of two dollars ($2) against the Parcel. Take further notice, that pursuant to the provisions of the law, the tax roll of the Town of Avon will be returned to the County Treasurer of Livingston County on a date in early April 2024.

  • NOTICE
    Village of Avon Delinquent Water/Sewer Accounts

    Notice is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by the Village of Avon Board of Trustees at the regular meeting held March 4th, 2024:

    RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, the Village of Avon residents are billed quarterly for the use of water and sewer within the Village, and
    WHEREAS, the February 1st billing is the last billing prior to the yearend fiscal closing, and
    WHEREAS, there are delinquent water and sewer accounts, it is therefore
    RESOLVED, that all delinquent water and sewer amounts not paid prior to March 28th, 2024, are added to the Village of Avon tax roll for each specific delinquent account.
