    Legal Notice

    Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Avon, Livingston County, New York, pursuant to Avon Town Code §130-52 B .

    Whereas, Matt Egan, acting agent for JG Hess Properties, the owner of real property located at 2625 Bronson Hill Road, in the Town of Avon, New York, Tax Map #55.-1-21, has filed an application for a side setback of 34’ instead of the required 40’ in the Agricultural zoning district to build a primary structure.  

    The Avon Town Code Schedule A requires a minimum lot size of three acres in the Agricultural zoning district, since existing parcel is less than 3 acres an area variance is required.   

    Please take notice that the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold the Public Hearing on March 24, 2025 in the boardroom of the Avon Town Hall, 23 Genesee Street, Avon, New York at 6:05 P.M.

    All persons interested may attend in person or by agent to give testimony in favor of or in opposition to the granting of these variances.

    TOWN OF AVON
    TAX COLLECTOR’S NOTICE

    Please take notice that I, Diana Farrell, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of Avon, County of Livingston, State of New York, will duly receive the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Avon for the year 2025 in the amount of $6,603,070.34.

    For in person payments, please visit the Avon Town Clerk’s Office, located at 23 Genesee St. Avon, NY 14414 beginning December 31, 2024 or place payments in our drop box. Mail payments to: Diana Farrell, Avon Tax Collector, 23 Genesee Street, Avon, New York 14414. Taxpayers may also view, print, and/or pay their bill via the Town’s web site at www.avon-ny.org.

    Take further notice that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2025, without charge or interest. On all taxes received after such date, there shall be added interest of 1% until February 28, 2025 and 2% for March 1, 2025 to March 31,2025.

    Pursuant to Section 987 of the Real Property Tax Law, a delinquent notice will be mailed on or after the 31st day following the expiration of the period on interest-free payment of taxes (March 4, 2025). The law mandates that the expenses of them ailing such notice shall be an additional penalty of two dollars ($2) against the Parcel.

    Take further notice, that pursuant to the provisions of the law, the tax roll of the Town of Avon will be returned to the County Treasurer of Livingston County on a date in early April 2025.

  • LEAD AND COPPER WATER LINE INSPECTIONS

    The Town of Avon is working toward completing our service line inventory, our water department will be contacting you to inspect your water meter and connection lines.
